Puddin’
Conor first saw C-12 at a shooting clinic this past winter. We broke out the radar gun and with his current set up of an aluminuim shaft, Conor clocked in at 54mph. After purchasing his very own HP Attack Weapon he clocked in at 64mph!! Folks, that is the same head untweaked (shooters/pocket) with our shaft giving him 10mph more. The proof is in the puddin’ baby! Oh and to all you college coaches, Conor is a 5th grader. Watch out Syracuse!!

Man, I wish I could make something sweet that revolutionized the game then just sit back for 18 years and collect money. Guess what? There is new technology now and a new player in town. Carbon is better, stronger, and sexier!! You dont have to settle for crappy Ti that bends after 1 game! You dont have to buy weaker aluminum because its all going to break anyways, so might as well save a buck or two. C-12 carbon has a 1 year warranty…….that means you can buy 1 shaft and not have to worry about anything!!! Sure fiberglass is just as strong, but man they are pigs!! 600+ grams for a shaft is certainly a beast. Why not get the same strength, plus the lightness, plus better ball control and shot speed in C-12 carbon shafts??
Excitement
Central Ohio can begin the conditioning phase of the 2010 season today!! Very excited today to get to practice to build that solid base. Laxers remember-running is awesome! You are playing the fastest game on two feet after all and running is a large large part of that. Not everyone can run so be grateful you are healthy enough and able to run and play the greatest game ever. Approach everything with a positive attitude and you will succeed. Try to remmeber this when you are doing sprints today.
It is great to see players embracing this new technology. Orders are coming in almost daily now, and its very exciting. Lax season come and go quickly, don’t waste a season playing without a C-12 shaft in your hand!!
Snow Snow Snow
There is a pending snow storm here in Central Ohio today. That doesn’t mean you cant do something productive for your lax game. Find a cement wall anywhere you can and play some wall ball. Ask your gym if you can use the basketball court during off peak times. Only the best and most dedicated can make it and play at the next level. If you think you are too cool to bring your stick and gloves to the gym maybe you should look in the mirror and check your dedication! If you don’t have a gym to go to you can use your basement. Ceilings too low? Get on your knees and throw against the wall. I use to face away from the wall, turn at the waist and throw a bounce pass against the wall, then turn around and practice catching over the shoulder. Be creative and keep those sticks in your hands!! Also be nice and get out there and shovel the snow for your parents. Matter a fact do your neighbors drive way too. A good lacrosse player is also a stand up guy for his community.
Olentangy Youth Lacrosse
We attended a great lacrosse clinic last night at Super Kicks in Powell. The director of the OYAA, Gary Harkin, is a super passionate guy for our sport and had that clinic running like a well oiled machine. Current players and Olentangy coaches were on hand to offer their knowledge and it was obvious their efforts were greatly appreciated. Gary summed it up best by saying “Lacrosse players take care of their own. This is only sport where you find the veterans willing to go out of their way to help out and teach the youth.”

Wall Ball
Man it is cold outside! Driving in this snow is a bit dangerous. Maybe I’ll do nothing all day but play some wall ball…………yea sounds good!
